What people build with Waya Residential Proxies
Use dedicated proxy credentials for apps, bots, browsers, APIs, and test suites. Add WayaVPN when you need full-device tunneling or region-level browsing.
Location-based access
Connect through real residential IPs in the country you choose to access local content, pricing, and services as a normal user.
Best with: country-pinned proxy accounts
Web scraping & automation
Route scripts, crawlers, and browser automation through residential exits so requests look like real traffic instead of data-center traffic.
Best with: rotating residential proxy bundles
Website checks & QA
Test site availability, redirects, and regional behavior from different ISPs and countries without spinning up separate servers.
Best with: mix of VPN + proxies
Price & content comparison
Monitor how product prices, offers, and content differ across markets using real residential IPs from each target region.
Best with: fixed-IP or country-pinned bundles
Brand & abuse monitoring
Review listings, ads, and pages from the same vantage point your real users see to detect misuse, spoofing, or region-specific abuse.
Best with: rotating residential proxies
Ad & tracking verification
Confirm that landing pages, pixels, and campaign variants render correctly in each target country and network environment.
Best with: named proxy accounts per project
Streaming & media checks
Validate catalog differences, playback reachability, and region-specific content behavior across countries and ISPs.
Best with: VPN apps + proxy tools
API, bots & app testing
Run API clients, mobile emulators, or headless browsers through dedicated proxy credentials without changing your personal connection.

Proxies FAQ
Quick answers before you generate a proxy account.
What protocols do Waya Residential Proxies support? ⌄
Waya residential proxies support HTTP(S) and SOCKS5 on proxy-enabled locations. You’ll see the exact protocol availability per location on the cards below.
Do I need an active VPN subscription to use proxies? ⌄
Not necessarily. You have two options:
- Subscribers: proxy access is included with your VPN plan.
- Standard (pay-as-you-go): use points to generate a dedicated proxy account even without a VPN subscription.
Where do I get my proxy hostname, port, username, and password? ⌄
After signing in, open your dashboard and use the proxy tools to generate or manage your proxy account. Your full proxy strings (host, port, username, password) are shown there.
Can I use these proxies in bots, browsers, apps, or scripts? ⌄
Yes. Residential proxy credentials are designed for browsers, automation tools, API clients, scripts, and apps that support HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 proxy configuration.
How long does a proxy account last? ⌄
It depends on the plan type. Subscriber proxy access follows your VPN subscription. Standard (pay-as-you-go) proxy accounts use the configured points, data bundle, and validity window shown above.
Are all locations proxy-enabled? ⌄
Most locations on this page are proxy-enabled, and each location card shows protocol support. If a location does not have a protocol enabled, it will be indicated on the card.
What’s the difference between using VPN and using a proxy? ⌄
A VPN tunnels your whole device or app traffic. A proxy is usually configured per app, browser, or script using proxy credentials. On Waya, many users combine both depending on the workflow.
Need help choosing the right proxy setup? ⌄
If you're not sure whether you need a subscriber proxy setup or a pay-as-you-go proxy account, sign in and contact support through your ticket area. We can help you choose based on your use case.
